Rule 15
TERM AND RENEWAL OF LICENSE<br>

(1) The validity period of the license will be five years.
(2) The license holder who wants to renew the license shall pay two hundred rupees to the Ministry three months before the expiry of the license period and renew the license.
(3) After the expiry of the period as per sub-rule (2), if the licensee comes to renew the license, twenty-five percent of the renewal fee for the first two months, fifty percent for six months, seventy-five percent for the ninth month and one hundred percent for up to one year. The Mantralaya will renew the permit after taking additional fees.
(4) If the permit is not renewed within the period as per sub-rule (3), such permit shall automatically be cancelled. 16. Things not to be done by a river guide A river guide should not do the following - (a) to buy any kind of goods from the tourists who have taken a river trip or to ask or take cash or any other thing from the person related to that work,
(b) to sell the equipment provided by the cruise operator,
(c) To act contrary to the instructions of the cruise operator,
(d) to exhibit misconduct in any manner,
(e) To transfer his license to others and make him work as a river guide,
(f) To act contrary to the code of conduct to follow the River Guide issued by the Ministry.
